“This case is DURABLE. The second day that I had my horn in this case, it spent 8 hours sliding around the back of a trailer with unsecured gear in the rain, in the mountains. Whoever packed the trailer didn’t exactly do a great job. When we eventually got out to get the gear, I found it underneath a bunch of heavy stuff that likely should have damaged my instrument from all of the weight and pressure impacting this case. Not to mention, I’m sure it hit a trailer wall a few times, no joke.

Review of the P.Mauriat PMXT-66 RX Influence Tenor Saxophone by Melvin Llord

"Sound & Intonation

This tenor is free blowing with a very warm and fat sound. It is very well balanced throughout the entire register. Intonation was also very good all around. The lower register sounds really deep and big."

System 76 2nd edition without high F# & Pro contoured hard case

"At the 2012 NAMM show, the P Mauriat System 76 2nd Edition tenor was a big hit at the show as one of the company’s models that offered the player a straight tone hole saxophone as well as keywork that is similar to some of the most popular vintage saxophones that many players are looking for today. At this year’s show, P Mauriat introduced the same model tenor but without the high F# key.

P. Mauriat PMXT-66 RX "Influence" - the tenor with the right touch!

Nowadays most saxophones look the same, same finish, same keys but not our PMXT- 66RX "Influence" model... In this case just one look at the P. Mauriat PMXT- 66 RX is enough to say that this saxophone is something very special and it is...

Yeah, that's right! There are no abalone or pearl key touches. We replaced them by adding the nickel silver touches. The same one that are used in flutes.
