Aldo Salvent

Aldo started his musical studies in La Habana, Cuba, graduating from Amadeo Roldan Conservatory. He has played in Cuba's top theatres and concert halls as a soloist.
He studied with the esteemed educators Javier Zalba (of the Buena Vista Social Club, Jose Maria Vitier's Group, Temperamento and super-group Irakere) and Juan Felipe Tartabull, co-founder of the Cuban classical saxophone school. In Cuba, Aldo participated in four national saxophone competitions, winning first prize in every event.
He moved to Costa Rica and graduated from the National University of Costa Rica (UNA) Summa Cum Laude.
