DENISS PASHKEVICH QUARTET “RESONANCE”

Deniss Pashkevich Quartet “Resonance” is a project, which brings together four modern jazz, hard bop, nu jazz musicians from Latvia to play Deniss Pashkevich original compositions and popular tunes of jazz.

Steeped in the tradition of John Coltrane, Deniss Pashkevich is a Latvian flautist & saxophonist, producer, ad-libber and educator with a profound calling. This year is 20th anniversary for Deniss as a professional musician and over the years he has become the official endorsement artist for three companies – Marca Reeds (France), Theo Wanne (USA), P. Mauriat (France). Deniss Pashkevich has participated more than 20 album recordings – one of the last and most important is Frank/Pashkevich Quartet debut CD“Outlook” recorded in Latvia, released in Denmark and distributed by Gateway Music. He has participated in many concerts and tours including Riga Groove Electro tour“Balticness” together with local jazz artists from all Baltic Sea region countries in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, Brian Melvin Quartet tour“Tribute to John Coltrane”, DP trio & George Steele Black History Month tour“ROOM” in cooperation with U.S. Embassy in Latvia and U.S Embassy in Estonia.

Deniss Pashkevich Quartet musicians had played together for many years in different projects. Artis Orubs is a drummer in Deniss Pashkevich projects such as DP trio, DENISS PASHKEVICH FUNK THERAPY, Frank/Pashkevich Quartet, Andris Grunte has played with Deniss in Riga Groove Acoutic and Madars Kalinsh has played with him in Riga Groove Electro, Riga Groove Acoustic, Balticness and Colors of Brain.

Jaunizveidotais Deniss Pashkevich Quartet “Resonance” ir projekts, kurā apvienojušies četri Baltijas valstīs pazīstami džeza mūziķi – saksofonists Deniss Paškevičs, pianists Madars Kalniņš, kontrabasists Andris Grunte un bundzinieks Artis Orubs – lai kopā izpildītu Denisa Paškeviča oriģinālkompozīcijas un tradicionālas džeza kompozīcijas modern jazz, hard bop, nu jazz mūzikas virzienos. Deniss Paškevičs ir saksofonists, flautists, komponists, producents un skolotājs mūsdienu improvizācijas un jazz mūzikā, savos muzikas pamatos izglītots gan akadēmiskās muzikas, gan musdienu ritmiskās muzikas virzienos. Daudz iedvesmojies un smēlies idejas tieši leģendārā saksofonista un komponsta Džona Koltreina (John Coltrane) daiļradē, kas noteikti būs jūtama arī Deniss Pashkevich Quartet koncertos. Deniss šogad svin savas muzikālās karjeras 20 gadu jubileju un šajā laikā viņš ir kļuvis par trīs lielu kompāniju – Marca Reeds (Francija), Theo Wanne (ASV) un P. Mauriat (Francija) – oficiālo mākslinieku, piedalījies vairāk kā 20 albumu ierakstos no kuriem viens no pēdējiem un nozīmīgākajiem ir Latvijas un Dānijas džeza mūziķu projekta Frank/Pashkevich Quartet Dānijā izdotais albums “Outlook” (Gateway Music, 2012.), kā arī piedalījies daudzos koncertos un tūrēs, t.sk., Riga Groove Electro un vairāku Baltijas jūras reģiona valstu mūziķu koncerttūre “Balticness” sadarbībā ar Latvijas Republikas Ārlietu ministrij u, Brian Melvin Quartet “Tribute to John Coltrane”, DP trio & George Steele Black History Month tour “ROOM” sadarbībā ar ASV vēstniecībām Latvijā un Igaunijā un daudz citos nozīmīgos notikumos.

Deniss Pashkevich Quartet mūziķi ir ilggadēji skatuves partneri. Artis Orubs ir bundzinieks tādos Denisa Paškeviča projektos kā DP trio, FUNK THERAPY, Frank/Pashkevich Quartet, Andris Grunte iepriekš spēlējis kopā ar Denisu Riga Groove Acoustic sastāvā un Madars Kalniņš piedalījies tādos projektos kā Riga Groove Electro, Riga Groove Acoustic, Balticness, Colors of Brain.
